Sebaceous glands in the Montgomery tubercles secrete a substance that
can smell like body odor. Perhaps that nipple has a gland that is more
"prolific" than the other side.

Mom notices a "body odor" smell from just one breast while nursing and pumping and on baby's breath. The milk itself does not have the smell. Baby only has smelly breath when he nurses from that one breast--enough that dad notices. She smells it while baby is nursing and when she is pumping and the pump parts have the same smell-again only from the one breast. She did have a plugged duct 1 week ago, with some bleeding, but that has cleared up on its own-no antibiotics. We wondered if it was related to the plugged duct. She stated she has always noticed a faint odor from this breast but not enough to take notice until a few days ago when it became stronger. Any ideas? Thanks!
