Hi everyone!
This is my first Lactnet post.
I have been working with a client who has low milk supply. Unfortunately, she didn't contact me until 3.5 months postpartum with a hugely tangled path of interventions in her past. Long story short, she has decided to use domperidone in an attempt to boost her supply. Her physician has written a prescription for her, but our local compounding pharmacy refused to fill it today. I am aware of the 2004 FDA recommendation about Domperidone, and when I last contacted this pharmacy to check about Domperidone in May of 2013, they were still compounding it. Has anything changed in the recent past in terms of FDA enforcement or new recommendations about the use of Domperidone?
Thanks!
