It is unreal to expect babies, even premies, to gain more than an oz a day.
(30g). Overfeeding leads to obesity. The aim is for them to gain 4-7 oz
week. They don't have to "catch-up" rapidly, slow and steady will accomplish
the same end with less repercussions. If the dr wants them to have addition
for vits - give vits orally. Yes, a premie needs extra iron. I really
don't believe 1 tsp of neosure powder would provide what extra a premie
needs. Where is the drs proof for this manuever? Pat in SNJ - can you tell
I got out of the wrong side of the bed this am?
