Diflucan is actually used in NICUs for thrush. Babies under 1 mo of age get smaller doses. With older babies, GV not working or mom doesn't want mess, I've found diflucan for baby and APNO for mom works well. August is thrush time in Atlantic City :-( I think it may have to have something to do with heat & humidity. But we always see an increase I nsummer months.
All that said, however, has anyone else noticed that thrush has sort of waned, and bacterial infections seem to be more of a problem? APNO still is a good choice. Pat in SNJ
