Hello from WA state where personal use marijuana is now legal.  As a WIC
IBCLC I expect questions will be coming from moms to me and our staff.  I
am not only concerned regarding the mom using but the infant being in the
home with other family members using.  So I am trying to think through some
messages for staff to use.  Any WIC/Public Health folks from CO here?  I
would love to hear your thoughts on approaches.  The state is looking at
enforcement being the same approach as alcohol...mostly when looking at DUI
but little research available for how long or how much produces
impairment...and close to nothing conclusive regarding breastfeeding or
children in the home.  There has been no public discussion to my knowledge
about children in the home here.  Thanks for your ideas, thoughts and
wisdom!
