Sample of one here, so only anecdotal evidence :
My older child (22 months) nursed throughout my next pregnancy, quite
vigorously, many times a day. His nursing did not lead to any contractions
until I actually went into labour. At that point, the nursing enhanced the
contractions, which were not nearly as strong after he stopped and fell
asleep.
Anyone have a similar - or different - experience?
