Knowing how to effectively communicate with expectant/new/fragile moms is
crucial as many have noted, and regardless of the setting or their feeding
goals & plans, ...It sure is a lot easier and less frustrating when moms
have goals that line up with whatever our own beliefs are, ...nevertheless,
certainly we help moms figure out what will work best for them in their
situation, ...Barbara & Patty illuminate two key points in effective
communication with expectant and new moms; listening and goals - helping them become
aware of their goals, verbalize their goals, and then guide them to become
the authors of the strategies and plans to achieve those goals.
