Thank you Jennifer. Carmen's site is indeed very helpful and would seem a great source of info considering that speech problems are already on the minds of the parents because of the adopted child under speech therapy already.
I looked over Dr. Agarwal's website and it appears the clipping is done for babies, primarily when breastfeeding problems seem to require it. There is a specific comment to the general effect that older children with TT will be referred. I would prefer not to delve into this myself, and hope that someone in Phoenix may know of perhaps a dentist or an EENT doc who is "up" on TT revision, specifically, laser, since it does not seem to require a general anesthetic.
