Because too many of  our meetings are full  of lily white IBCLCs.  Ditto for 
LLL :-(  Historically black  moms in US were wet nurses for the master's 
white babies.  Bottlefeeding in US among black moms  has been
ingrained for many generations.  White IBCLCs and LLLLs telling black moms 
that they "should" breastfeed has all sorts of messages, mostly negative 
:-(  Look at the stats about BF when divided by race.  It's sad.

I've been a LLLL for 45 years.  This month we had a black mom come to our 
group! and it's not because I haven't been out there trying.  Pat in SNJ
