Hi all,

I have a mom who called and is having trouble sleeping. She would like to take Unisom, however it is listed as an L3 and may cause baby to be sedated, so she is not sure about this. It may also decrease milk production. Does anyone know of any substances this mom can take which would be safe for her baby? She has tried chamomille, but it has not worked. Does Melatonin sound OK?

Thanks,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
