How do we gather together all that we see (mother & baby doing better long term after frenotomy) as a study?
1. early sx (mother pain. baby poor latch, poor weight gain etc.)
2. release (type -lingual, labial etc, method, scissor, laser))
3. Progress (immediate, 1 mo and so on, duration of BF)
How do all 2-3000 of us record this? Start date, end date?? Any researchers want to take this on? Need a project , thesis? We need evidence :-)
Saw 6 week old twins yesterday, mom still sore at latch on, no open wounds, slowly improving, babies gaining like gang busters (6.7 at birth now 10.2 & 6 at birth now 9.4 Lbs )
as opposed to another one this past year, mom in pain, baby gaining poorly. Pat in SNJ
