Reproductive patterns and statistics differ all over the world.

I watched a very interesting PBS show last week, available @ PBS.org as part of the Charlie Rose Brain series. Specialists discussing the rates of autism quoted a lot of evidence of a strong genetic component, including a statistically larger proportion of older fathers as well as older mothers.  

This particular set of choices may be more common in the reproductive statistics in more developed countries, thus possibly entering into the increased rates regardless of feeding patterns.
