I read an interesting observation on a mum's forum about the Calma being
difficult to use for AIM because the neck wasn't wide enough to comfortably
take any of the standard milk scoops. Powder goes everywhere, and its
impossible to measure accurately a feed and there is much wastage-was what
one mother reported.

It appears that Medela have attempted to thwart the bottle's use for AIM but
at what risk? Improperly made up feeds? Is the narrow neck necessary to the
valve design? It seems a risky product to have out there when so many
families will actually use it for AIM feeds-despite its intention and
marketing, and of course no one is monitoring that. I will write them a
letter and find out why the narrow neck.
