I just received this email from David Newburg, a member of our Board, and chair of the HMBANA microbiology committee. If you are interested in photographing or being photographed, or know someone else who is, please contact David directly.
Thanks,

> An article we wrote was just accepted in a scientific journal, and they requested a color piece of science art that would make a nice picture for the cover. I think that it begs for a photograph of an infant breastfeeding, to go with my molecular structure of a human milk oligosaccharide, and analytical readout of the human milk oligosaccharides. I am looking for a breastfeeding mother who would like us to photograph her baby while nursing, in a tasteful and artistic way, and who wouldn't mind if this photo enters the public domain. There are many photos on the web, but I think that we should make our own for this purpose, as it goes to a publishing house, and should be our own original. If anyone has expertise in photography, this would also be a big help. Anyone interested in either being photographed or in helping us to photograph should please let me know. I think that this will help increase awareness of the benefits of breastfeeding among a branch of science that is not exposed to this very much, if at all. Also, wide dissemination of another appealing photo of a breast-feeding baby could add to the acceptance of public breastfeeding. If accepted, this photo would become a permanent part of our accumulated body of scientific literature, which now goes back several hundred years. Thank you for your help with this.
