I, too, received the same box of merchandise which had been mailed to my place of employment addressed to me with my credentials. I am a relatively new IBCLC of 2 years. My reaction was shock and anger. Frankly, I wanted to call someone at the company and voice my regret over their setting up breastfeeding mothers for failure for trying to sell a battery powered pump. The nerve! (Yes, I realize there are already battery powered pumps on the market). Ultimately, I shoved the pump to the back of a shelf in the storage closet and threw everything else out. I don't even have the paper insert which introduced the products and provided a name and telephone number (in marketing, I'm guessing.) Could someone please reiterate that information here in this forum? I would like to take action now that I see realize how far reaching their marketing strategy has been. There's more. They have my personal cell phone number! I was called a couple of weeks ago by someone from Lansinoh clearly and unabashedly asking me to encourage other IBCLCs to use the products. They must think us fools.
