Last week I posted:
<Seen in Medscape for Nurses, which appeared in my inbox today:

Enhanced Feeding of Preemies May Cause Electrolyte Disturbance, Septicemia>
I got a private post from a "lurking lactnetter" stating:
<I only read the link, not the entire article, but I'm thinking they're speaking of IV nutrition since they mentioned "parenteral" not enteral feeds. At least in my NICU, the only BM a VLBW baby would get in week 1 would be unfortified, for oral care or small gavage feeds. But who knows how they do it in Norway?>
I thanked for her comment about my post, and for "cluing me in" about my oversight. The word "parenteral" went right over my head!
