We have a lot of babies losing between 4-8% of their weight in the first 24 hours. (large percent of our mothers deliver by c/s and /or are induced for along time), and most mothers are given epidurals. Does anyone have guidelines what are acceptable weight loss (%) each day after first day. When they loose 5% in first 24 hours they inevitable hit 8 or 9 % in the next 24 hours even if appear to be doing fairly well at breast.
Thank you
