What a lot for this mom to deal with. I have one, possibly silly thought:
since this seems to involve both pain and swelling/stretching/elasticity, I
wonder if anyone has any experience with putting pump flanges in the
refrigerator to chill them before use. It might have some effect on pain, and it
might affect swelling? Just a thought. If it doesn't work, or the cold is a
bad idea, at least it's something to try and costs nothing....
