Hello Nikki,
in Germany, skin to skin after cesarean section in the operating room is
standard care in the German BFHI-requirements. So there are at least the
70 certified BFHI-hospitals in Germany that practise it and that you can
refer to.

Subject: Looking for hospitals where skin to skin is done either in the
OR or Recovery after cesarean section
Dear Lactnet Friends:
The anesthesiologist that is considering having me present to his residents
needs some support. He wants to know where other places are putting babies
skin to skin after cesarean section, in the OR or in the Recovery Room.
I know there are hospitals in Egypt and Sweden that do this routinely. Any
others?
Any policies that can be shared?
I want to show him that the idea, while new to him, has been done and has
worked in other facilities.
warmly, and thank you for any help.
