I have a question for myself.  

A little background:  I had an ultrasound two weeks ago to r/o gallstones and they found a mass on my liver.  

This Wednesday I have to have an abdominal CT with and without contrast (both po and IV).  My daughter is 16m and still nursing 3-4x/day (including overnight).  The contrast they are using is called isovue 300 and according to Dr. Hale it has no oral bioavailability and very limited bioavailability via IV.  It has a very short half-life too, T1/2 = 2hrs.  My test is at 11:30am for the po contrast and then 12:30 for the actual CT scan including the IV.  I pick my daughter up at 5pm from daycare.  The radiology clinic said no breastfeeding for 24hrs, but that 8hrs is usually safe.  Based on my reading it does sound like I could nurse her at bedtime ~8:30-9pm due to the super short half-life.  I hate that I have to do this, but I want her to be safe too.

Have any of you dealt with this before or have a recommendation?  Thank you.
