In the BF class I taught Monday night, one of the moms told me about a
product from Avent that you could use to thaw BM--thaws then keeps it at a
certain temp. I was concerned that the warmth for thawing and holding at
temp might not be good. Do any of you know anything about it?
What about a phone number or address for Avent so I can educate myself about
their products.
Hello Pat,
In regards to the A----- Bottle and Baby food Warmer: I have found that
moms that use these devices like it because it warms the milk in a water
bath and does not overheat it like the steam type bottle warmers. It takes
about 6 to 8 minutes from refrigerator temperature to body temperature and
will hold it indefinitely. The instructions say that solid food can be held
up to one hour, with the antibacterial properties of human milk I would
imagine you can hold it at least that long. I would be happy to send you
their phone number by private E-mail since I do not think the rules of the
Lactnet allow me to post the number publicly.
All the BEST,
Linda Pohl
