You might help her practice saying, "I'm not comfortable exposing my baby to
hyaluronic acid. Is there something else I could use that is proven safe
for infants?"
The doctor's recommendation is just that - a recommendation - the decision
belongs to the baby's parent(s).

Hyaluronic acid is usually injected into an arthritic joint and that is how
Hale's book addresses it. It is L3. When the baby would actually be
ingesting the cream on the nipple, I think that would be very different than
transferring into mom's milk. If she decides to use this product, I think,
to be safe, she should wipe it off before nursing.
