Hi All,

I have been reading everyone's concerns and comments from afar here in Israel regarding the Bloomberg/formula intiative. I have also been reading extreme, angry facebook postings from my US friends about "being forced to breastfeed against their will".

I am a nurse and LC in a major Jerusalem area hospital, and my ward (exclusive rooming-in) has been keeping the formula out of patient rooms and in the medicine room at the nurse's stations for years now, at my initiative. I wrote a guest blog post explaining what really happens to try and calm people down a bit, at my friend and fellow IBCLC's blog called "A Mother in Israel". I hope you'll read it!
