I have never been a fan of Nuk teats in spite of much enthusiasm for them in some SLT circles. I have always wondered why they seem to prop the lips into a very unnatural way, certainly not supportive of flanging and mouth opening. Now if you are lying flat on your back and a breast covered in barium is presented, probably the best thing to do is to clamp your lips shut, so perhaps that explains the weird impact on the lips.
