I have a client battling thrush. Began after keflex treatment. Called provider first time in October. Was prescribed Nystatin for mom and baby. Thrush worsened. I was called in, and flucanzole treatment commenced along with topical anti fungal and more aggressive treatment in baby. Condition improved at first, then worsened again. Second round of flucanzole is done. Thrush is worse than ever as per mom. I am seeing her today as per provider request and I am scratching my head. All breastfeeding items are sterilized by boiling daily, as is anything baby mouths. Any ideas? Thanks!
