Hello, I have been reading Lactnet for about a year or two, but this is my first time posting. I founded an independent BF support group for the military community here at Wright-Patterson in Ohio last summer, and this is where my question comes from.

I have permission to post -- a mom with a Medela Swing pump states she has the smallest flange size Medela makes (21mm), but it is still too big for her -- when she pumps, it pulls too much areola in with the nipple and causes pain. Is there any way to get a smaller flange or retrofit what she has? One mother suggested pumpinpal.com, but I don't know anything about these accessories. I found a lot in the archives about getting larger flanges, but didn't see much about finding smaller flanges.

Thank you for any suggestions!
