I came into this (breastfeeding advocacy) 14 years ago, thinking that the
MOMS needed to take the lead in advocating breastfeeding rights (instead of
health professionals). At the time, it seemed like all public comment about
breastfeeding was done by health professionals, not the moms themselves. I
have worked to help moms take the lead in these discussions.

NOW, I'm wondering - maybe it's the CHILDREN that need to be the voice to
advocate for breastfeeding (rights and support). What if the voices who
spoke up for breastfeeding were those of children and adults who had all
breastfeed for long enough, that they personally remembered it? What force
and credibility would that bring to the public debate?
