Topical shouldn't be a problem. My understanding re. grapefruit was
that it was the juice specifically, but best check that. Is there a
pharmacologist you could ask for advice? I know I've had good luck in
the past simply ringing local pharmacies and asking to speak to whoever
on staff is a trained pharmacologist, or, alternatively, going via the
hospital and asking to speak to the one on staff. Don't know whether
that could be done in the USA though.
Best wishes,
Sarah
