Dear Everyone, I have worked with many moms to help them identify and eliminate an offending food from their diets so baby could continue to nurse and not have symptoms of intolerance. I have food intolerance issues myself, and so did my nursling. I have recently discovered the idea of taking dietary enzymes for allergies. I have been taking them already for digestive issues, but it was suggested to me that they may also help with allergies. Recently I discovered that since I am taking the enzymes regularly istead of only when I had indigestion, I have not needed to take the double, triple, quadruple doses of allergy meds I was taking almost daily. I was surprised to realize this, because when I had first heard of the idea I had thought, "oh that's intriquing", but I had not pursued it further. Since then I have read in many places the suggestion that the mom with food intolerances taking enzymes for her own symptoms may find that baby's digestive symptoms will resolve as well. I realize that what worked for respiratory allergies may not affect food intolerances, but I am wondering if anyone else had any experience with using enzymes? I would love to "hear" from you! Thanks! Rowena, Texas
