I'd like to thank everyone who emailed, shared newsletters describing using human milk for healing GI problems, etc..

I passed the info along to the father. Don't know if they decided to do this or not. Mother was hesitant as she thought it meant her son could only drink breastmilk (for the long term by the sounds of the email I received)- I did encourage them to check it out more thoroughly as the persons who have used breastmilk only consumed 8 oz or so per day.

It would be very interesting to find out more information about the healing properties of human milk for children who are weaned or never had human milk. And the question comes to mind : why would HM not be considered before the prospect of major, irreversible surgery or treatment with drugs that destroy the immune system and interfere with growth and development over the long term?

Another project to add to my list of things I wish to learn and work on over the next 30 years!

ps...Congratulations to everyone who saw that little letter P when they plugged in their code (needed my bifocals to make sure it was a "P" indeed!) especially all my fellow LLL Leaders who felt the additional pressure of knowing this was the last year that we could write the exam using the Pathway available to us.
