Was in a hurry to get to my grandson's 5th b-day party when I wrote the last post re: breastflow bottle nipple... my apologies for the arrogant sounding statement that it does not work for babies that have tt... :>)
Should have said - It has not worked for the babies I have worked with who have tt. Will have to check to see if it will work with the one who has had tt released lately (he gets 1 bottle the days his mother is at work)..
Re: chomping or biting, Olivia does not chomp at it or at the breast or bite for that matter.. she drinks very well, will open her mouth very wide, using paced feeding, slow and leisurely, lots of pauses and will drop off to sleep with it, as she will do while breastfeeding and I can see her tongue moving while she drinks..something she never does with the other bottle nipples (since she was about 5 or 6 mo. and she is now 11 months old).. with the others, she will speed suck that milk out then throw it on the floor and grumble at me for more food.. it's quite comical and would make a great commercial about the "impersonal" nature of bottles.
