Actually CERPS do not need to be so expensive to obtain. I created a private forum (with the tentative name <CERP>) for IBCLCs. We prepare a slide show/text/study module, which if presented in real life would take about an hour, and publish it in the forum. Anyone wanting to earn CERPS reads/studies and adds a post with comments, questions, etc which will show clearly the presentation has been studied. Presenter and others discuss the presentation and remarks/questions. As this is all done online and thus ''provable'' individual CERPS can be applied for. Every presenter leaves a bio at the forum and ''paperwork'' like presenters at symposia do as well. When applying for CERPs these documents can be included, as well as a attendance log from the forum.
I started this when the E-CERPs firrst became an issue a couple of months before recert-date.
Warmly,
Gonneke, IBCLC in PP, LC lecturer in southern Netherlands
