I happen to have a copy of the document with the patterns.
This is how it goes:
Pattern 1, 70-120 mm Hg @ 120 cpm
Pattern 2, 70-200 mm Hg @ 90 cpm
Pattern 3, 100-250 mm Hg @ 34-54 cpm

It has a 15 minute run time;
Minute 1-3 is  pattern 1
Minute 3-5 is pattern 2
Minute 5-6 is pattern 3 - then there is a pause
Minute 6-7 is pattern 2
Minute 7-9 is pattern 1 - then there is a pause
Through minute 11 (plus maybe 10-15 seconds) is pattern 1
Minute 11(ish )-12 (plus maybe 10-15 seconds) is pattern 2
Minute 12 (ish) -13 (plus maybe 10-15 seconds)is pattern 3
another pause
Minute 13.5-15 is pattern 3

I do not really know what makes the CPM variable other then maybe what mm Hg it is set on.
Just wanted to share what I have, especially since I have time to - usually I can barely get to reading Lactnet let alone posting in a timely manner. I think now I will actually read the copy of the journal article related to this - if I can find it ; )
