At Standard 6.D., we are told that, for any entity offering a
certification
exam: "Disciplinary policies must include procedures to address
complaints that may concern conduct that is harmful to the public or
inappropriate to the discipline (e.g., incompetence, unethical behavior,
or
physical/mental impairment affecting performance). These policies must
ensure appropriate treatment of sensitive information and ****fair
decision
making****." (emphasis added).

What I meant to add was, I'm not sure I understand why IBLCE has the
jurisdiction to dictate what "any entity offering a certification exam" has to
do regarding discipline? Why, when they don't even recognize any
certification but IBCLC (urghhh -- my computer is being recalcitrant!), should they
even care??

Inquiring minds want to know...and probably need to go ask IBLCE that, but
since Liz so very kindly brought it up...
