Jessica, thank-you for your answer!

I think I wasn't clear.  Mom isn't using a syringe, she is using a SNS with a tube on her finger to finger-feed.  She has also used this at the breast but is too sore right now to do so.

I breastfed my 3 children for a total of 10 years but I didn't use bottles so I don't have that experience.  Is it easier to bottle-feed than finger-feed feed with a SNS?  Probably that sounds like a dumb question but I really don't know.  All I can think of is that the tube is harder to clean?

I agree that something has to give. :(
