For some research, on which I am working, I am
gathering information about the historical
archaeology of the Coso Range, east, northeast,
and southeast of Olancha, California. Can anyone
on this list recommend citations to papers, CRM
reports, or any other publications that discuss the
various ways, i.e. prospecting, mining, hunting,
and so forth, in which this part of the Coso Range
was utilized in historic times?

I have looked for material about the archaeology of
this area and mainly found publications about the
prehistoric usage and cultural resources, i.e. rock art,
of this region. I am looking for some detailed
information about the historic usage of this area
and during the 19th and 20th century and the types
of cultural resources left behind by this usage.

Any citation, which anyone can point me towards
would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes,

Paul
