My standard advice for any baby who does not not take the breast within a couple of hours within birth to start hand-harvesting colostrum on a small spoon and feed that directly to the baby. In the mean time have mom&baby continuously be in close physical contact, with lots of skin-to-skin.If that does not lead to the baby suckling at his own within 24 hours I'd advice a thorough baby-check-up. I don't really like the wait and see approach for extended time periods. The longer a problem gets to built, the longer it takes and the harder it will be to cure.
