"you have to spend money to wash the clothes that the baby spit up on
during the consult.. "
~~~ This has nothing to do with the topic of Liz's post, but it did remind
me:
recently I've taken to wearing those tank tops that are very slim, but
supportive, under whatever shirt or dress I am wearing. (They are supposed to
make one look thinner or firmer or something but I just buy at least a few
sizes bigger, since I'd rather be comfortable and supported vs. compressed
and smushed.) This came in very handy recently when a baby I suspected has
some digestive issues, was kind enough to squirm, fuss, and then spit up
massively all over me while mom was pumping and I was showing her how she
could watch him for cues about what he was showing us ( again very nice of him
to give such a clear demonstration...:). I was soaked in formula ( milk
supply issues on mom's side) from the throat to the crotch. It was nice to be
able to ask mom if I could just take off my dress ( having now just a tank
top and pants) and she gave me a bag to put it in. Rinsing with water did
not move this stuff and the smell was awful, and I had to ride on the
subway to get home. It worked out much better for everyone I think to have that
option. :)
Peace,
Judy
