Gonneke's IBJ - http://www.internationalbreastfeedingjournal.com/content/2/1/11  last case study on the page, describes treatment of a woman with a similar situation and the block feedings are not what we usually think of when we are helping someone with oversupply - she's talking 12 - 24hrs!  but controllable and there are foods and herbs such as sage, mint teas and candies, sour and astringent herbs and foods..which can reduce supply. 

At least mom will know she is not the only woman to experience this.
