Hi Lisa,  I look at it as job security for me.             I hear you about feeling discouraged and that nothing ever changes.  Thank you to the poster who mentioned small changes in the past few years.  Our hospital has had a push for more skin to skin for the past 2 years and I am seeing the fruits now.   I praise nurses for it whenever I get the opportunity - 'Oh great!!  You have her holding her baby skin to skin already!  Stroke of genius, I think it helped the baby latch on!'
