Thank you, Judy for your well written, and well thought-out comments.
One thing that is a constant for me as a professional - and as a parent - is
that I will NOT ask or expect anyone (client or child of mine) to do
something that I myself will not do. And so, I must confess:
I eat cookies.
And, I enjoy them very much.
My favourites are oatmeal chocolate chip.
Matter of fact, if a cookie doesn't have bits of chocolate in it, I really
don't care for it.
Do I think that cookies will heal all lactation production woes? Nope. Do
I think that cookies will help a mother with her lactation production? Not
sure. But, if a mother in my care wishes to eat them (purchased or made at
home), then more power to her, because for the average woman I also do not
believe that eating a few cookies is going to *damage* her lactation
production.
Peacefully,
~kg
