I'm wondering if anyone here is aware of anything that has been published about the history of milk banking that might describe situations where hospitals pooled excess milk from women and dispense to mothers with insufficient. I know that this was common in Australia in the 60s and 70s (and have some work by Virginia Thorley talking about milk banking in the 70s in Australia) but don't know about elsewhere. Can anyone assist?
