Hi Kristi,
There are a lot of anecdotal accounts of fenugreek causing high blood
pressure, but not a lot of evidence.
Fenugreek is a diuretic. If she saw a significant depletion of
potassium through increased urination, that could cause an increase in
blood pressure. Just a thought.

This mom was symptomatic, went to ER with a BP 170/110 (posting this info with her permission). The ER physician told her to stop taking the fenugreek (she had seen an increase in her supply within 24 hrs) because it had "hormones in it" that caused her increase in blood pressure. Adding fenugreek was the only change she had made in her daily life, so I would agree that she stop taking it. Not sure of the info she received regarding the ingredients in fenugreek per the MD. I have searched exhaustively for any reference to fenugreek increasing blood pressure without success. I am asking for any info, literature, studies, websites, etc. that would provide more info.
