Yes Melissa, there was an article about the process a few years ago in maybe Time or Newsweek. It is basically a bottom of the rung job at Facebook for Stanford grads, though they make far more money than I do. They just spend all day looking at images that have been reported as inappropriate and deleting or doling out warnings. So these decisions we analyze so closely are being made in an average of 20 seconds by a 22 year old. Also they generally see the image and not the image in context - they are moving through too many images to investigate in any way. They don't just look at breastfeeding images, they look at violent images, graphic pornography, racist images, death threats. So many images are reported as inappropriate in FB - many obviously for good reason - and breastfee ing images are thrown in with the rest.
