After an allergic baby who nursed all. the. time. (and I don't mean the
"all the time" that new mothers complain about--I mean all. the. time.),
his younger sister did not comfort nurse. It was weird and had me
off-balance (my goodness, they can unlatch and roll over and fall
asleep??), until my son slowed down quite a bit when he went to preschool,
and my tandeming super-supply tamped down. All of a sudden she was very
happy to comfort nurse! It's all about responding to the baby, even when
the don't seem to want what they "ought to."
