To reinforce Liz's point, USLCA has the information and support available to
"educate" you and your employers and insurance carriers about the
"credentialing" IBCLCs as lactation services providers and coding and
billing for these services in various work settings. We will be providing
you all with a Q and A article very shortly and there will be 2 webinars
available in the next few weeks, one from USLCA. The other will be from
Aetna, the first insurance carrier to credential us and provide coverage for
IBCLC services.
Please send me your questions and I will be happy to try and give you
answers as I have them available. I will also add them to the information we
will prepare for all IBCLCs.
