I work extensively with homeopathy in my practice. It is my first treatment for plugged ducts and mastitis (in combination with castor oil compresses) and keeps moms and babies off dangerous abx. In conjunction, I look for latch, structural, management or nutritional causes. I see no reason why any LC should not have basic knowledge in homeopathy for breastfeeding and it is part of the curriculum in my workshops. I think it is irresponsible, given the life-long implications of exposing the maternal/infant gut to abx not to use better, safer treatments.
