Have any of you read this article from the Breastfeeding Medicine journal, Volume 6, Number 1, 2011?In summary, it says that there are not enough studies to declare galactogogues, namely, reglan, domperidone, and fenugreek safe for use. The acknowledgement at the end of the article says it was supported in part by a grant from the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, US Dept of HHS.Near the end the article says there is one high quality study showing domperidone is useful in mothers of babies less than 31 wks gestation, saying there are selective indications for use. Is this article influenced by the formula companies?? Susan in Minnesotarn ibclc
