Hi
Cooling hot food in the fridge before putting it in the freezer is to protect the other food in the freezer from a rise in temperature caused by putting hot food directly into the freezer. I can see no problem with putting EBM directly into the freezer. It will simply cool faster. The injunction to cool EBM before freezing applies when adding fresh EBM to a container of frozen EBM. Best to cool the fresh EBM first so it doesn't partially defrost the already frozen milk.
I hope that's clearer
