I have worked with several mothers. Some have milk supply problems,
some don't. Many times there are mitigating factors that also play a
part (c-section, delayed initiation for example). What I do is
advocate and assist with all the usual "best practices" and
refer/consult with a dietician or nutritionist (or her weight loss
doctor or program) which I believe any such mother should be seeing
during a pregnancy or lactation.
